Time-dependent measurement of high-power laser light reflection by low-<i>Z</i> foam plasma

Abstract Porous materials have many applications for laser–matter interaction experiments related to inertial confinement fusion. Obtaining new knowledge about the properties of laser-produced plasma porous media is a challenging task. In this work, we report, first time best our knowledge, time-dependent measurement reflected light terawatt laser pulse from low- Z foam material overcritical density. The been performed with ABC laser, targets constituted by density and solid same chemical composition. We implemented in MULTI-FM code model reflection reproduce interpret experimental results. Using simulations together results, indicate criterion estimating homogenization plasma, whose direct diagnostic techniques still not achieved.
